Job summary

Ski Butlers is seeking seasonal Ski Technicians to deliver ski/snowboard rentals, provide on-mountain support, and manage equipment pickups for guests in Mammoth Lakes. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional service, ensuring timely arrivals, clear communication, and equipment suitability for guests’ skill levels and conditions.

The role requires weekend/holiday availability, a valid driver’s license, and physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

• No previous rental experience required.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ski/snowboard rentals and fittings on time.
• Provide on-mountain support and equipment pickup within 45 minutes.
• Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicle and restock equipment.
• Assist with packing orders and setting up next shift.
• Handle reservations, refunds, and customer inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities

• Delivery: Completing scheduled and reactive ski/snowboard rental fittings while focusing on our three Key Customer Requirements: KCR #1: On Time – Arriving within 5 minutes of the agreed upon time KCR #2: Communication – Setting clear expectations around the entire scope of service KCR #3: Equipment – Choosing the right equipment for each guest given their skills and current conditions at the resort
• Support: Provide equipment support to our guests within 45 minutes
• Pickup: All scheduled returns are brought back to the shop, sanitized, re-stickered and tuned for their next use
• Maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and fuel levels
• Packing orders for future delivery
• Setting up the next shift and future team members for success

Secondary Responsibilities

• Basic ski/snowboard tuning, waxing and general equipment maintenance
• Making/Answering customer phone calls with a positive and inviting tone of voice
• Restocking delivery vehicles with extra equipment
• Plan delivery routes, support calls and pickups for the current and upcoming shift.
• Respond to customer phone calls, text messages, emails and voicemails in a timely manner.
• Upselling existing guests via phone calls/texts in predelivery communication
• Taking reservations and issuing refunds
