Job summary

Bill & Paul's Sporthaus in Michigan is seeking a Ski & Snowboard Service Technician who takes pride in quality work and delivering great experiences on the slopes. You will service, tune, and fit customer gear with care to ensure safety and performance.

You'll work hands-on in a fast-paced specialty shop, mounting bindings, waxing skis, and helping customers choose the right equipment, with strong teamwork and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with confidence using tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to lift and move skis and snowboards and related gear.
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset.
• Previous ski/snowboard shop or mechanical service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and service customer equipment to high standards.
• Perform tune-ups: waxing, edge sharpening, base repairs.
• Install, adjust, and test bindings.
• Perform binding indemnification and release checks per standards.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
• Explain service recommendations to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized service shop and support teammates.
• Stay current with manufacturer guidelines and industry practices.

Whether you're mounting bindings, tuning edges, waxing skis, or helping a customer understand how to care for their gear, your work directly impacts their safety, confidence, and performance. What You'll Do

As a Ski & Snowboard Service Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing and servicing customer equipment to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Ski and snowboard tuning, including waxing, edge sharpening, and base repair
• Ski and snowboard binding installation, adjustment, and testing
• Performing binding indemnification and release checks in accordance with industry standards
• Inspecting equipment for wear, damage, and safety concerns
• Helping customers understand service recommendations and equipment needs
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient service shop
• Assisting with seasonal workload demands and supporting fellow team members
• Staying current on manufacturer guidelines, service procedures, and industry best practices

What We're Looking For
