The qualified candidate will assist with ski/snowboard instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun manner while upholding all Utah Skier Safety Act rules/regulations and Company guidelines.**JOB REQUIREMENTS:*** Attend required training sessions.* 15-17 years of age (preferred).* Able to ski or snowboard proficiently on blue groomed terrain.* Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written)* Must have excellent guest service skills, outgoing, & demonstrate the ability to interact with a variety of different people.* Must have excellent communication skills* Must work well in a team environment* Must be able to work inclement weather in an alpine environment.* Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions.* Must be available to work holidays and weekends (time off during peak/holiday periods is not available)* Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring children* Participation in the PSIA Junior Instructor Program (preferred).**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Upholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied challenging terrain with constantly changing winter weather conditions.* Assisting guests, including young children, to load and unload the chairlift.* Communicating instructions and helping guests to their feet during a lesson; lifting children.* Assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring the return of children to the identified guardian.* Assisting in operational responsibilities of Ski & Ride School programs including but not limited to the registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities.* Be a positive and professional ambassador of Solitude, and Snow Sports in general, to all guests**EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT** Solitude Mountain Resort is an equal opportunity employer.
