Job summary

SE Group seeks a Mountain Planner & Analyst to join our Salt Lake City office. You will assist project managers with data gathering, research, and analysis for ski-area development and master development plans.

You bring 1–4 years of related experience, a Bachelor's in planning or a related field, and strong technical writing and data-analysis skills. A passion for snow sports and the ability to work across geographically diverse teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Regional Planning or related field
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Strong data analysis with Excel, able to translate data into clear narratives
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and identify patterns
• Passion for snow sports and understanding of ski resorts
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stay organized
• Ability to work independently across geographically diverse teams
• Preferred experience in planning (Regional/Urban/Environmental/Recreation)
• Familiarity with InDesign, Illustrator, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and summarize core components for MDPs
• Document production for MDPs: editing, formatting, proofreading
• Analysis of physical attributes and capacities of mountain resorts
• Assist analysis and application of resort capacity models
• Translate mountain planning deliverables into narrative descriptions and planning documents
• Prepare graphic deliverables to communicate plans to clients/stakeholders
• Project management support: coordinating and documenting stakeholder meetings and site visits
