Job summary

Winter4Kids is seeking a Ski Patroller to help create a safe, supportive environment for youth engaging in skiing and snowboarding. You will monitor terrain, inspect trails, and respond to emergencies, providing Outdoor Emergency Care and coordinating with EMS when needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, and the ability to work weekends and evenings in winter conditions, with training provided by Winter4Kids to ensure participant safety and positive experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Intermediate skiing ability or higher.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and variable hours.
• Must complete Winter4Kids training.
• Outdoor winter work conditions required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned terrain and facilities to promote participant safety.
• Conduct daily trail inspections and identify hazards.
• Mark hazards with signage, fencing, or netting.
• Monitor changing trail and weather conditions throughout the day.
• Perform lift safety observations and report concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies and incidents using established protocols.
• Assess injuries and illnesses and provide Outdoor Emergency Care.
• Safely transport injured participants and coordinate patient transfers.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation.
