Job summary

Discovery Land Company, located at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, seeks a Ski Patroller to join the Patrol Department. You will perform professional ski patrol duties, provide BLS medical care, and respond to emergencies in a challenging mountain environment.

The ideal candidate is an expert alpine skier with OEC or EMT-B certification and strong physical fitness, able to operate rescue equipment and coordinate with EMS and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Current Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) Technician or EMT-B certification.
• Current BLS/CPR certifications.
• Expert alpine skiing ability.
• Ability to meet all physical and operational requirements of professional ski patrol.
• Ability to ski in varied terrain and operate a rescue toboggan.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical emergencies and injuries throughout the resort.
• Stabilize, treat, and evacuate patients per protocols.
• Provide BLS care under medical direction.
• Coordinate handoffs with EMS and receiving facilities.
