Job summary

Vail Resorts in Gorham, ME is hiring for a Winter Seasonal Ski Patrol role. You will supervise guest safety on varied terrain, assist injured guests, and help with mountain operations as part of a dedicated patrol team.

Starting wage is $21.00–$25.05 per hour; full-time hours available with the potential for training and advancement. We offer ski passes, employee discounts, a 401(k) plan and a strong training program.

Qualifications

• Pass resort Ski Patrol ski test and ski any terrain.
• Fluent English communication required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and promote guest safety on varied terrain with varying winter weather conditions
• Assist injured/ill guests on the mountain and administering first aid
• Transporting injured guests off the mountain using a toboggan or supporting air lift operations
• Maintain trails, including hazard identification and setting up closures and safety materials, and other impacts from the resort environment
• Transporting supplies and heavy equipment to areas of need on skis/snowboard
• Performing closing procedures at the end of the day to ensure that all guests are safely off the mountain
• Enforcement of the Skier Responsibility Code and Resort Policies
• Chairlift and guest evacuation
• Other duties as assigned
