Job summary

The City of Durango is seeking a part-time Lift Operator to support safe rope tow operations at Chapman Ski Hill. You will prepare loading areas, monitor lifts, check tickets, and maintain equipment, while delivering a welcoming experience for visitors in outdoor, cold-weather conditions.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required or ability to obtain them.
• Knowledge of ski hill operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the lift service and loading areas to support safe rope tow operations.
• Monitor entrance and loading areas to ensure safe use of lifts.
• Meet, greet, and check tickets for ski hill patrons.
• Inspect safety gates and ensure proper operation.
• Submit reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain equipment and supplies used in lift operations.
• Perform thorough cleaning of lift areas and facilities at end of day.
• Administer appropriate first aid when needed and complete accident reports as required.
