Job description

TSG Ski and Golf, LLC dba Telluride Ski and Golf is looking to fill Ski Instructor, Level III Certified positions in Telluride, Colorado. This is a temporary full-time seasonal position & we are looking to fill 10 job openings for employment from 11/06/2026 to 04/04/2027.

Duties
  • Responsible for teaching skiing/snowboarding through private lesson instruction or in a group setting. May provide training to lower level ski/snowboard instructors.

Requirements
  • Level III certification with Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA)/ American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) or International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) equivalent.

Terms & Conditions of Employment
  • At least $30.61/per hour to $59.63/per hour, at least 35hrs/wk, Mon-Sun, 9:00AM to 4:00PM (schedule, hours and shifts vary). On-the-job training is available. By state law, employees of the ski industry performing duties directly related to ski area operations for downhill skiing or snowboarding, and those employees engaged in providing food and beverage services at on-mountain locations, are exempt from the forty (40) hour overtime requirement of the Wage Order. The daily overtime requirement of one and one-half the regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of twelve (12) in a workday shall apply. This partial overtime exemption does not apply to ski area employees performing duties related to lodging. Overtime rate of pay is at least $45.92/per hour to $89.45/per hour.

Transportation
  • From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse for transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work.

  • Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed early, employer will reimburse or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

Tools, Equipment & Supplies
  • The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.

Miscellaneous
  • The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due; The pay period is every two weeks; The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law; The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees including those mandated by the government incurred by the H-2B worker.

Housing

Optional employee housing is available on a limited basis and is first come first serve for $698/month for a double occupancy studio apartment in Telluride Mountain Village. With employee's voluntary consent, housing costs may be deducted from paycheck.
