Job summary

Big Sky Resort is seeking a Rental Technician to welcome guests and help them find the right ski or snowboard setup. You’ll assist with boot fitting, binding adjustments, and equipment care, ensuring proper fitting for all ability levels and creating a friendly, energetic rental shop environment.

No prior gear experience is required—we’ll train you and get you ready for the slopes. This role involves light lifting, standing for long periods, and handling payments and inquiries from guests.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with training provided.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to stand on your feet for at least 8 hours a day.
• Good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Ski/snowboard or cashier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized boot fitting, binding setting, and equipment support for all guest ability levels.
• Kneel, stand, and move repeatedly while assisting with gear fitting.
• Create a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere in the rental shop for guests and coworkers.
• Answer guest questions by phone, email, or in person regarding rentals, online purchases, and resort information.
• Accurately process payments for rental equipment.

Big Sky Resort is looking for a guest-oriented and enthusiastic Rental Technician to join our team. As a Rental Tech, you’ll be the first step in delivering transformational mountain experiences. You’ll help guests find the right ski or snowboard setup, ensure proper fitting, and get them ready to enjoy their day on the slopes. No prior experience with ski or snowboard gear?
