The City of Elk River is seeking an experienced skater and instructor for our Skating Academy. The Instructor Level III will teach Learn to Skate classes from Snow Plow Sam through Basic 5 while creating a safe, positive and fun learning environment.
Starting pay: $20/hour (2026 range: $20–$24/hour). Part-time position with Earned Sick and Safe Time and PERA benefits, if eligible.
Seasonal and part-time employees performing work for at least 80 hours in a year for the City are eligible for Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST). ESST is paid at the same hourly rate that an employee is paid from employment with the City. ESST will accrue at a rate of one hour per 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours of ESST per year. ESST begins to accrue at the commencement of employment. Employees may begin using ESST once they have worked 80 hours.
