Job summary

Alpha seeks a full-time Pre‑Kindergarten Guide to lead a classroom on-site in Chicago, IL (relocation assistance available). You will design rich, play‑based experiences that build early literacy, numeracy, self-regulation, and social development, while ensuring emotional safety and a love of learning.

Ideal candidates have at least an associate degree or higher, U.S. teaching licensure, and 2 years of classroom experience with ages 3–5 in a play‑based setting.

Qualifications

Able to work full-time, on-site at one of our campuses in Manhattan, NYC, or Chicago, IL (relocation assistance available).
An associate's degree or higher, or any U.S. state teaching license or certification.
At least 2 years of experience with children ages 3–5 in a structured, play-based setting.

Responsibilities

Design joyful, sensory-rich learning experiences building early literacy and numeracy.
Create a classroom where every child feels emotionally safe and eager to learn.
Observe development in real time and personalize learning with insights.
Adjust activities to each child's interests and developmental needs.
Partner with families to share growth milestones and support development beyond the classroom.
