Job summary

A1 Garage is hiring an Apprentice Sales & Service Technician. You will learn the trade through our program, with training at the A1 Training Academy and covered travel to Phoenix for the four-week program.

After training, you advance to junior technician with a guaranteed flow of service calls in your market. First-year earnings are projected between $60,000 and $90,000 on a 100% commission plan, with no cap on commissions.

Qualifications

• Must be nice and customer-focused.
• Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods.
• Min 21 years old; valid driver's license 3+ years.
• Physically able to lift 75 lbs.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Knowledge of basic software (navigation apps, Google) and tablet/computer use.
• GED/HS diploma not required but reading and basic math skills required.
• Professional appearance; eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Travel to service calls to assist customers with repair, maintenance or purchase of a new door.
• Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.
• Adjust equipment for optimal performance.
• Order and replace parts as needed.
• Repair or replace worn door parts using hand tools.
• Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
• Install hardware or interior fixtures and connect wiring.
• Lubricate and test equipment for proper functioning.
• Document activities and collect payments for services.
