Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an SIU Investigator in Maryland to independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverages. You will gather information via interviews, data collection, and collaboration with law enforcement and state agencies, while maintaining thorough documentation and producing professional reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent law enforcement experience with focus on investigations related to fraud.
• Post-offer Allied Universal Investigations training/orientation is required.
• Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience conducting complex insurance investigations or adjusting complex claims.
• Proficient understanding of anti-fraud laws, insurance regulations, and compliance in home state/region.
• Proficient in using laptops and cell phones.
• SIU Compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across workers’ comp, general liability, property and casualty, and disability.
• Gather information through data collection, interviews, research, and cooperation with case managers, law enforcement, and state insurance agencies.
• Maintain detailed documentation for investigations, reviews, audits, and related tasks; produce clear reports and memos.
