Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Sitter for the day shift on a per diem basis in Bristol, PA. This role supports the RN to maintain a safe environment and assist with patient care under supervision.

Candidates should have prior patient care experience and current BLS certification. Strong knowledge of medical terminology is preferred and hospital or physician office exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience or student in nursing or another medical field preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• A Patient Sitter is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
