Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm is seeking a Sitecore Developer with at least 3 years of experience in Sitecore CMS projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of Sitecore, ASP.NET C#, and web development. Duties include developing multi-lingual websites, leading a team of developers, and ensuring high-quality web solutions. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience is required. This position is located in Detroit, Michigan.

Job Description

Mandatory Skills

• At least 3 years’ experience in Sitecore CMS projects (v6 and v7); experience in version 8 is an advantage.
• Strong technical hands‑on knowledge of Sitecore including best practices and features.
• Good understanding of web development, information architecture, CMS and integrated technologies.
• Ability to map loosely defined business requirements to specific technical solutions.
• Experience in design and development of multi‑lingual / multi‑country websites.
• Strong experience in high‑level and detailed solution design and build validation; experience in content migration projects.
• Strong ASP.NET C# experience (framework v2, v3.5, v4) and MVC framework.
• Strong knowledge of IIS, Team Foundation Server.
• Solid programming knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle.
• Demonstrated experience in integration using APIs and web services.
• Must have at least 4 years .NET project related experience.
• Presentation – specifically Web Controls.
• Binding content and presentation.
• Platform administration and tuning.
• Experience in analyzing and resolving performance issues with Sitecore CMS.
• Specifically for Sitecore: Sitecore API, Kernel and Sitecore client libraries; Sitecore concepts including Layouts, Sub‑layouts, Templates, CM/CD environments, Sitecore caching, Serialization, Sitecore configuration, Sitecore deployment, Security, etc.
• Track record of leading a Sitecore development team of at least 6 developers.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Conversant with release management.
• Conversant with unit testing automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
