Job summary

Foley Power Solutions in Wichita, KS seeks a SITECH Field Technician to troubleshoot and repair Trimble and Caterpillar grade control and telematics systems installed on fleet vehicles and site equipment. The role emphasizes fast customer response, quality work, and safe operation in field environments.

You will perform all levels of repair, diagnose issues, verify functionality, and maintain tools and trucks.

Qualifications

• Experience with construction technology, including grade control, site control, telematics, and machine safety.
• Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn company software with training.
• Must read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature and technical bulletins.
• CAT ET & CAT SIS 2.0 experience.
• Ability to drive and valid license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventive maintenance on technology in vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, provide repair recommendations and perform critical repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Clean and maintain service truck, work area, tools, and equipment for safety.

Job description

Our SITECH Field Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting and providing high quality installation and repairs for Trimble and Cat Grade products. Responding to customer needs quickly and efficiently, while ensuring maximum value for work performed on Trimble and Caterpillar electronic equipment and software.

Hourly Base Rate: $29.43 - $65.28 / hour

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Perform all levels of repair and preventive maintenance on technology in the vehicles and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
• Clean and maintain service truck, work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment
• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs
• Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Physical & Working Requirements

• This role involves hands-on mechanical and electrical work in a field environment.
• The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance
• Safely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance
• Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials
• Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights
• Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods
• Safely operating tools and equipment
• Exposure to inclement weather

• Experience with construction technology, including grade control, site control, telematics, and machine safety
• Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics

• Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
• CAT ET & CAT SIS 2.0 experience
• Ability to drive and valid license required

What will put you ahead:

• Experience with Trimble, Topcon, or Leica technology installation and repair
• Knowledge of use of various heavy equipment and knowledge of global positioning service (GPS) machine control
• Stable work history
• Caterpillar/On Machine /GPS/GNSS software experience and troubleshooting and installation
