Job summary

Peraton is seeking a PC Technician to support the SITEC contract at Coronado, CA. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and securing networked desktop and laptop environments, addressing help-desk needs, and ensuring proper hardware and software deployment.

The ideal candidate has a DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI, plus the experience and education to match the listed qualifications. Some shifts may be required to support USSOCOM operations.

Qualifications

• BS + 2 years of experience OR HS with 6 years of experience OR AA with 4 yrs of experience.
• DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.
• Compliance with DoW 8140 under the Work Role Code 411 - Intermediate level or higher.
• General experience includes background in information systems development, network operations, application performance in a client/server environment.
• Specialized experience includes the management of help desks in a multi-user environment, a comprehensive understanding of PC operating systems, a working knowledge of network and electronic mail operations and prior supervision of help desk employees.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical problem solving for customer support of database.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers.

• Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines.
• Maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades.
• Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
• Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization.
• Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.

Peraton requires PC Technicians to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Position is located in Coronado, CA.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

The PC Technician shall provide system and network infrastructure services to operate, maintain, monitor, defend, and manage hardware, software, MAN routing and switching infrastructures, including network hardware and software.
