Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. in Colorado's high-altitude site seeks an Environmental Supervisor - Water Specialist to lead groundwater and surface-water monitoring and oversee the site’s water-management program.

You will supervise two technicians, maintain QAPPs and sampling plans, ensure data quality, manage regulatory reporting, and collaborate with Operations, Process, Engineering and regulators to drive compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, environmental engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in mining environmental compliance with water monitoring and reporting.
• Experience with Colorado water rights, permitting, and regulatory frameworks preferred.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage groundwater and surface-water monitoring programs and QA/QC.
• Supervise two environmental technicians and oversee data quality.
• Develop and maintain QAPPs, SOPs, sampling plans, and reporting.
• Coordinate with operations, labs, and regulators on water issues.
• Generate regulatory reports and trend analyses.
