Job summary

The role requires knowledge of standard work zone flagger control references and the ability to apply and identify them. Based in South Louisiana, the position involves maintaining traffic flow, directing motorists, setting up cones and signage, and liaising with road traffic personnel,

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification required or willingness to obtain.
• PowerSafe Safety training certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to obtain Traffic Control Flagger Certification (ATSSA).
• Knowledge of flagging signals and standard flagger practices to protect personnel and direct traffic safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of traffic around construction sites.
• Direct traffic using stop‑slow signs and other control devices.
• Close lanes for maintenance and emergency work.
• Set up traffic cones and signage around the site.
• Use hand signals to direct traffic flow.
• Coordinate with road traffic personnel and emergency teams.
• Perform site checks and monitor traffic safety.
