Responsibilities

  • Own the daily execution of the TAKT production plan across assigned facilities.
  • Monitor daily production performance against planned TAKT activities and milestones.
  • Identify production constraints and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule performance.
  • Make day-to-day production decisions to preserve TAKT flow and minimize disruption to downstream activities.
  • Escalate schedule risks requiring program-level support.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Trade Leads, and Project Controls to coordinate daily production activities.
  • Facilitate daily production meetings and communicate schedule priorities.
  • Ensure workfronts are prepared for incoming crews in TAKT order.
  • Coordinate handoffs between trades to maintain continuous production flow.
  • Coordinate with offsite manufacturing facilities to align schedules with field installation requirements.
  • Monitor material readiness and delivery schedules; identify and resolve material constraints ahead of impact.
  • Communicate schedule changes affecting manufacturing priorities or delivery sequencing.
  • Maintain the site TAKT schedule and update progress daily.
  • Develop recovery plans with Program Scheduling and Site Leadership.
  • Validate production quantities, manpower, and productivity assumptions.
  • Capture lessons learned and recommend TAKT planning improvements.

The Site TAKT Lead is responsible for the day-to-day execution, monitoring, and continuous optimization of the TAKT production system at an assigned Project Lightning site. Reporting to the Program Scheduling Lead and working in close partnership with Site Leadership, Project Management, Superintendents, Trade Partners, and Offsite Manufacturing teams, this role ensures production activities remain aligned with the approved TAKT plan while proactively identifying and resolving constraints that could impact schedule performance. As the onsite owner of TAKT execution, the Site TAKT Lead serves as the primary point of coordination between field operations, project controls, and offsite production to maintain production flow, support reliable material delivery, and drive schedule predictability throughout construction.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of job related experience is required.
  • Travel: 10-20%
  • Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary and can include, but is not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Production Execution

    Own the daily execution of the TAKT production plan across assigned facilities.

    Monitor daily production performance against planned TAKT activities and milestones.

    Identify production constraints and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule performance.

    Make day-to-day production decisions necessary to preserve TAKT flow while minimizing disruption to downstream activities.

  • Site Coordination

    Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Trade Leads, and Project Controls to coordinate daily production activities.

    Coordinate handoffs between trades to maintain continuous production flow.

  • Manufacturing & Supply Chain Coordination

    Coordinate with offsite manufacturing facilities to ensure production schedules align with field installation requirements.

    Monitor material readiness and delivery schedules.

    Identify and resolve material constraints before they impact production.

    Communicate schedule changes that affect manufacturing priorities or delivery sequencing.

    Partner with logistics teams to maintain reliable material flow to the site.

  • Schedule Management

    Maintain the site TAKT schedule and update progress on a daily basis.

    Monitor milestone performance and identify emerging schedule risks.

    Develop recovery plans in coordination with Program Scheduling and Site Leadership.

    Validate production quantities, manpower, and productivity assumptions.

  • Continuous Improvement

    Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements to TAKT planning methodologies.

    Support implementation of standardized work practices across the site.

    Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and schedule reliability.

    Participate in program-wide planning reviews and best practice sharing.

Leadership & Collaboration

Serve as the primary onsite advocate for TAKT execution. Build strong working relationships with Operations, Project Management, Trade Partners, Manufacturing, and Client representatives. Support executive site visits and production reviews. Promote accountability, collaboration, and proactive issue resolution across the project team. Support project startup, TAKT implementation, continuous improvement, lessons learned, and training of site teams. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
