Job summary

Icon Power, LLC is seeking a site assessment technician to perform roof measurements, attic condition checks, and shade readings for solar installations in Tempe, AZ. The role involves documenting conditions, photographing the site, and uploading reports to cloud storage, with additional duties as needed.

The candidate should have experience in roof work or construction, a high school diploma, 1–2 years of solar or construction experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to safely handle power tools and hand tools as well as materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
• Excellent customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills preferred.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.

Education and Experience

• Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience with solar or construction preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work at great heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders, and stairs.
• Prolonged periods of repetitious duties including kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, etc).
