Job summary

TEK Systems is seeking a contract Network Technician for on-site work in Odessa, TX. The role covers six weeks of site surveys across 700 locations, taking photos and uploading them to ONEOK SharePoint. You will receive an iPad and work with a team of eight in challenging Permian Basin sites.

Ideal candidates have intermediate network engineering experience with routers, Cisco gear, switches, and WAN knowledge. Some overnight stays may be required, and TEK will cover travel costs where needed.

Qualifications

• Overnight stay may be required; some overnights will be paid by TEK.
• The work is in the Permian Basin with potential travel to Midland and surrounding areas.
• Intermediate level network engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

Description

Length: Phase 1 is six weeks doing site surveys. They will be provided an ipad and 8 people will cover 700 sites in West Texas. They will be taking photos of what is all at the site and uploading it to the ONEOK Share Point site. These sites are all from a Madallion acquisition where they do not know what all is there. Anticipate gravy and dirt raods to get to these areas. If phase 1 goes well, we will be awarded Phase 2 for the installs that could go to the end of the year. We need folks who have a technical skillset

Overnight Stay: Most of the time they will be going back home, but from time to time they may need to book overnight stay, but all this work is in the Permian Basin so most of the time they will be back home each night. If there is overnight stay, they will book it through TEK and we will pay for it. * The amount of overnights will be contingeint on where all our folks are. If they are mostly grouped in midland, then anticipate more overnights.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
