Job Description

Oak Hill’s Site Supervisor in the Shelton, CT location works 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM with required flexibility. The role provides administrative support, personnel management, planning, program development, and supervision of staff while maintaining processes for all contractual agreements and licensing regulations.

This position supports the Residential Director for a given location, becoming familiar with each site and coordinating responsibilities such as after‑hour calls—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—on a rotating on‑call basis.

Supervision of direct support staff and collaboration with administration, parents, guardians, outside agencies, the union, employers, and other community members occur in a demanding, regulated, policy‑driven environment with oversight from internal and external parties.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field
  • 3 years experience working with people with disabilities in a supervisory role
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities
  • Manages all aspects of the day‑to‑day operations of assigned location(s)
  • Provides direct support as needed to meet programmatic needs
  • Becomes familiar with individuals in assigned location(s), defines goals and objectives, and plans, implements, and evaluates programs, services, and activities in collaboration with the Program Director or Program Coordinator and the Planning and Support Team (PST)
  • Ensures services meet individuals’ needs and that program operations comply with state and federal regulations, Oak Hill policies and procedures, and health and safety regulations
  • Maintains the locations’ physical environment to meet required regulations, ensuring a clean, safe, and homelike atmosphere
  • Supports the process for all contractual agreements, including DDS, DCF, ICF, and Oak Hill policies
  • Monitors medical and health needs in collaboration with the Group Home Nurse Coordinator to ensure needs are met
  • Coordinates and participates in IP/OPS/IDT/IEP meetings for each resident, ensuring completion of assessments prior to OPS and receipt of quarterly reports from recreation therapist, social worker, speech therapist, and other professionals
  • Provides supervisory oversight, guidance, and support to direct care staff; performs related administrative duties; and acts as liaison with parents, guardians, and outside agencies in keeping with Oak Hill mission and core values
  • Maintains communication with the Transportation Manager regarding maintenance, registration, and insurance of group home vehicles, arranging for 30‑day safety checks
