A project management firm in Maryland is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee the installation and maintenance of Low Voltage systems, particularly Fire Alarm Systems. Overview

Reports to: Project Manager, ED+C Group

Locations:

Job Summary: The Site Supervisor will oversee the installation and maintenance of Low Voltage systems, with a strong focus on Fire Alarm Systems. The Supervisor is expected to ensure all systems adhere to the Fire Alarm and Signaling Code (NFPA 72) and Verizon specifications. This role requires daily on-site presence, coordination with contractors, and thorough knowledge of electrical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Low Voltage Systems Expertise:

    • Possess in-depth knowledge of Low Voltage systems, especially Fire Alarm Systems.
    • Be fully familiar with NFPA 72 and client specifications.
    • Actively monitor installations to ensure compliance with codes and client standards.
    • Identify and address any deviations or omissions in the Electrical Drawings, such as missing Pull Stations or Smoke Detectors, at the earliest project stages.
  2. Contractor Coordination:

    • Work closely and effectively with Electrical Contractors and technicians.
    • Establish strong, cooperative relationships with contractors and client engineers.
    • Manage and navigate potential conflicts with electricians to maintain a smooth workflow and ensure adherence to codes and standards.
  3. Electrical Drawings & Specifications:

    • Thoroughly review and understand all provided Electrical Drawings and client specifications.
    • Ensure that all work performed on-site aligns with the provided documentation.
  4. Availability & Mobility:

    • Be available to be on-site every day, traveling between different project sites as required.
    • Maintain a reliable vehicle for daily travel, with all travel expenses including mileage reimbursements tracked and reimbursed as per IRS standards
    • Follow the schedule provided by the ED+C Group Project Manager.
  5. Shift Flexibility:

    • Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts, including both day and night shifts.
    • Standard day shift hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and night shift hours are from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
    • Preference will be given to strong candidates based in the Maryland (MD) area who can meet these scheduling requirements.
