Job summary

Voith Hydro in the United States is seeking a Site Supervisor to plan, prepare and supervise the disassembly and installation of hydro power plant equipment at field sites, including turbines, generators and related controls.

You will direct craft labor, subcontractors, ensure safety, quality, and adherence to schedules and budgets, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve field data and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years of experience; hydro or leadership in construction.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Identify and mitigate safety risks on site.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Direct foremen, craft labor and subcontractors for defined scopes.
• Supervise disassembly, maintenance and installation of hydro turbines/generators.
• Support safety planning and enforce site safety rules.
• Plan and prepare work scope, including interfaces with support groups.
• Interface with engineering, quality and customer to clarify procedures.
• Identify risks and mitigate in planning and execution.
• Ensure materials meet specifications and availability of tools.
• Escalate issues to Site Manager as needed.
• Plan workforce capacity with Site Manager.
• Promote professional environment with crews and subcontractors.
• Document deviations from plan regarding schedule/quality.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
