Job summary

Bay West in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead industrial service teams at customer sites, ensuring safe, efficient project execution and regulatory compliance. Duties include supervising personnel, coordinating daily activities, and supporting emergency response efforts.

The role requires robust leadership, chemical handling capabilities, and experience with equipment like skid steers and excavators. Travel to sites will be periodic as part of ER activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class B or A helpful.
• Active 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate helpful.
• Experience with equipment used on industrial service projects (skid steers, excavators, hand tools, air-powered tools).
• Ability to lead and supervise industrial service crews.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email).
• Willingness to travel periodically for Emergency Response teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage industrial service teams and projects at customer sites.
• Resolve conflicts, take ownership of decisions, follow through on commitments.
• Communicate openly with team members across disciplines.
• Perform chemical neutralization and cleaning of equipment.
• Conduct daily cleanup of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Handle waste management tasks with proper documentation.
• Assist in Emergency Response clean-up activities and equipment handling.
• Be on-call for ER team about one week every five to eight weeks.
• Understand confined space entry procedures and act as Entry Supervisor when needed.
• Serve as Health and Safety Officer on projects.
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams.
• Train team on skid steer, forklift, truck, trailer operation, ER equipment.
