POSITION TITLE: Site Superintendent High-end Residential Construction

REPORTING TO: Production Manager

LOCATION: San Francisco, 94109 (The office is 8 blocks from Bart; you will report directly to the project site)

Take ownership, and manage the project in its entirety, from site supervision to project details.

• Deliver the project on time and budget.
• Plan project pre-construction, layout and sequence of activities and schedule.
• Manage sub-contractors, vendors/suppliers, architects and change orders.
• Perform related paperwork duties, and daily logs. Project documentation, RFI’s.
• Manage labor allocation and driver duties
• Quality control from job start to job close out
• Point of contact for field staff in problem solving
• Enforce safety standards on all jobsites
• Participate in client meetings as needed
• Ensure job safety and code compliance at all times.
• Comply with all company policies

Required Skills and Competencies:

We are looking for someone with 10 years of experience, in residential construction, from ground up to completion. You confidently keep production moving forward, by being a decisive problem solver who doesn’t get stuck on one issue.

You understand that our best marketing tool is a happy client and a fantastic product. You will ensure that projects with your name on them exceed quality expectations and impressive craftsmanship, because you won’t accept anything less. You are a master at communication and planning. You are able to motivate your crew, in a respectable manner, to get great work. You take full responsibility of all activities on the jobsite and don’t have a problem holding everyone accountable for their responsibilities.

We expect you to maintain positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors, by planning properly, communicating schedule changes, and being prepared for them before they arrive. You are proactive about verifying scopes of work and you communicate when deficiencies are discovered.

We need someone who keeps the master schedule updated, approves hours weekly, and uses summary reports to make sure the job is on time and on budget.

Additionally:

• Ten years of relevant work experience in construction and/or project supervision/management; at least three years high-end residential.
• Must work well with all types of personalities and know how to get the best out of your crew.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Mac computer proficient is helpful—including knowledge of MS Office Suite, AEC Fast Track (a plus)
• Deep knowledge of scheduling
• Exposure to, and interest in Green Building
• Clean DMV and active CDL and reliable transportation.
