Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Site Services Technician / Structural Welder to join our Anderson, SC team. This role blends structural welding and steel fabrication with field service support, with up to 60% travel to customer sites across the contiguous U.S.

When not traveling, you will support manufacturing operations at the Anderson facility. Required are 6+ years in construction/structural welding, MIG/SMAW experience, and the ability to read blueprints; travel readiness and a valid US driver's license

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction, structural welding, or steel fabrication.
• 6+ years of MIG and Stick (SMAW) welding; Flux Core experience preferred.
• 3+ years of fabrication, rough-in, or millwork.
• Experience reading blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineered shop drawings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe welding practices.
• Ability to travel up to 60% throughout the contiguous U.S.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform post-installation repairs, including structural welding repairs, touch-up painting, and fastener repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineered shop drawings.
• Perform MIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding on structural steel components.
• Fabricate and assemble steel components for modular and prefabricated buildings.
• Inspect welds for quality and safety compliance.
• Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and field teams to meet production and project timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Document completed work and report quality or installation issues.
