HelloFresh in the UK/Ireland is seeking a Site Services Manager to lead facilities and maintenance across distribution centres, offices and hubs. You’ll drive asset performance, safety and compliant 24/7 operations while partnering with Operations, Finance and EU Engineering to deliver ROI-driven improvements.

The role focuses on managing contractors, leading major projects, and building a high-performing engineering team with a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering or facilities teams on large-scale automation projects.
• NVQ/HNC Engineering with Management Level 3; engineering degree desirable.
• Proven project management delivering engineering/CapEx projects; Dematic experience desirable.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication, organization and time management with stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-site facilities and maintenance across UK/Ireland, asset care, cleaning, security and infrastructure.
• Ensure high uptime, compliance, and 24/7 operational reliability.
• Manage facilities and maintenance suppliers, tenders, negotiations and invoicing.
• Lead engineering projects end-to-end: upgrades, rollouts and CapEx initiatives.
• Plan equipment replacements and ROI-based improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and track maintenance KPIs and cost controls.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment and safety compliance.
• Develop and mentor the engineering team, promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Job description

About The Role:

As Site Services Manager for the UK, Ireland & Hubs, you'll lead the strategy and day-to-day performance of our facilities and maintenance operations across our Distribution Centres, offices and regional delivery hubs. You'll be responsible for keeping our sites safe, compliant and operational 24/7, while driving improvements across asset performance, maintenance, automation and facilities infrastructure. Working closely with Operations, Finance and EU Engineering teams, you'll also lead major engineering projects, CapEx initiatives and long-term plans to support HelloFresh's continued growth.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead multi-site facilities and maintenance operations across the UK and Ireland, covering asset maintenance, cleaning, security and site infrastructure
• Own the performance and availability of critical equipment, ensuring high levels of uptime, compliance and operational reliability across a 24/7 business
• Manage facilities and maintenance suppliers and contractors, including contract performance, tenders, commercial negotiations and invoice approval
• Lead facilities and engineering projects from end to end, including equipment upgrades, system modifications, new technology rollouts and CapEx initiatives
• Work closely with Operations, Finance and EU Engineering teams to plan future equipment replacements, upgrades and system improvements, using data and ROI analysis to support investment decisions
• Develop and track key maintenance KPIs, including equipment uptime, efficiency, maintenance costs and continuous improvement activity
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring safe integration into existing systems and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Lead, develop and support the engineering team, including maintenance planning, training and capability development, while role-modelling the HelloFresh DNA and a strong culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement

Who You Are:

• An experienced engineering or facilities leader, with a background managing teams of engineers/technicians and large-scale automation or maintenance projects
• Qualified to NVQ/HNC Engineering level or equivalent, with Management Level 3 qualification; a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field would be desirable
• Experienced in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering engineering, automation, equipment or CapEx projects; experience with Dematic automation systems is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make decisions, identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
• Confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong communication, organisation and time-management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to balance competing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, performance and operational delivery
