Site Security Manager (SSM)

Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX


ATS is seeking a qualified Site Security Manager (SSM) to support the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Mission Training Complex (MTC) Contract with Simulation/Stimulation training support. The SSM administers the MTC's Physical Security, Personnel Security, Security Awareness training, Employees Continuous Evaluation/Eligibility for access to classified National Defense Information Programs and the overall security policies and procedures at JBSA MTC. The position is responsible for the development, management, administration, and implementation of security policies and programs for the MTC Personnel Security Program for mitigating the risk of compromise of national security information. Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures, standards and training for JBSA MTC Personnel Security mission as required by regulations to include, but not limited to, AR 380-5, Department of the Army Information Security Program; AR 25-2, Cybersecurity; DoD 5200.2, Personnel Security Program; DoD 5200.1-R, Information Security Program; ICD-704, Personnel Security Standards and Procedures Government eligibility for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and other Controlled Access Program Information; ICD-705, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities; Foreign Clearance Guides, and other pertinent regulations and policies applicable to JBSA MTC's mission.


Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:



  • Administers the MTC's Physical Security, Personnel Security, Security Awareness training, Employees Continuous Evaluation/Eligibility for access to classified National Defense Information Programs and the overall security policies and procedures at JBSA MTC.

  • Responsible for the development, management, administration, and implementation of security policies and programs for the MTC Personnel Security Program for mitigating the risk of compromising national security information.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures, standards and training for JBSA MTC Personnel Security mission as required by regulations and policies applicable to JBSA MTC's mission.


Required Qualifications:



  • Completed a BS or BA degree, subject immaterial.

  • Minimum five years of security specialist experience.

  • Knowledge of applicable Army and DOD security policies and regulations.

  • Experience in DISS.

  • DOD Security Professional Education Development (Sped) Physical Security Certification (PSC) (https://www.cdse.edu).

  • Meet DoD 8570.01-M, DoD 8140.03 Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technician Level I (IAT II).

  • US Citizenship.

  • Possess a SECRET clearance


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in security related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or security military experience.

  • Prior experience as a Facility, Government, or Military Security Officer of a classified site.

  • Documented completion of the US Army Conventional Physical Security Course (7H- 31D/830-ASIH3).

  • Possess a TOP SECRET clearance.
