Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit is seeking a Site Security Manager to lead a team of site security personnel across multiple facilities in the Leesburg area. The SSM is responsible for delivering physical security services, developing leaders, and ensuring safety for people and property.

You will collaborate with senior Security and Operations leaders to drive performance, conduct audits, and build effective security programs.

Site Security Manager

The Site Security Manager (SSM) leads a team of site security personnel, including site managers, field training officers, and security officers, and is accountable for delivering physical security-related services at one or more assigned locations within a geographic area. The SSM is responsible for the leadership development of the individuals who report to them, while also being accountable for the delivery of security operations at these locations. The SSM partners with senior leadership and management teams in Security and Operations to drive operational effectiveness, superior performance, and audit readiness.

Position Overview:
The Site Security Manager (SSM) leads a team of site security personnel, including site managers, field training officers, and security officers, and is accountable for delivering physical security-related services at one or more assigned locations within a geographic area. The SSM is responsible for the leadership development of the individuals who report to them, while also being accountable for the delivery of security operations at these locations. The SSM partners with senior leadership and management teams in Security and Operations to drive operational effectiveness, superior performance, and audit readiness. Responsible for preserving an environment where people and property are safe and well-protected, the SSM utilizes their professional experience to manage individuals with varying skill sets and develops effective strategies to drive improvement. The SSM reports directly to the regional security manager, works alongside other site security managers in their metro area, and manages the Security Team Manager (STM).

Essential Functions:

1. Manages physical security operations at multiple critical infrastructure facilities.
2. Drives safety programming for the security team with a goal of zero workplace injuries onsite.
3. Actively manages site security personnel; partners with the local branch to recruit and hire, oversee onboarding, training, and development at the sites.
4. Ensures each staff member is treated with dignity and respect.
5. Plans, assigns, and manages physical security projects and tasks to timely completion.
6. Coaches security employees and carries out disciplinary actions in accordance with current policy.
7. Evaluates the effectiveness of site security operations and provides recommendations for improvement.
8. Utilizes excellent customer service and communication skills, sets the example, and holds site security staff accountable to do the same.
9. Ensures site health and key performance indicator goals are met or exceeded; works with the regional security manager (RSM) to enhance security team effectiveness and performance.
10. Meets regularly with the client and Securitas corporate management representatives for account reviews, addresses issues in a timely manner, and supports security planning, assessments, and surveys.
11. Keeps management informed of major accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
12. Follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits.
13. Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a safe and secure environment.
14. Splits time equally between sites, building familiarity with each location, leading the team, building the program, and coaching for success.
