HazTek Safety Management, founded in 1997, is a full-service safety partner dedicated to the health, safety, and well-being of employees and clients. The USACE Site Safety Officer will drive safety programs, investigations, and daily compliance across construction and dredging projects.

The role emphasizes safeguarding workers on military bases and dredging operations, maintaining rigorous safety audits, and fostering HazTek's culture of safety and inclusion across diverse projects and sites.

Qualifications

• 5 years of direct construction and/or dredging safety experience.
• USACE experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction and WALLET card required.
• EM 385 1-1 certification preferred.
• First Aid CPR; online trainings will not be accepted.
• 8 hours of safety training each year for the last 3 years (excluding OSHA 30 and First Aid).
• Experience on military bases and/or dredging projects helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction and dredging projects ensuring USACE EM-385-1-1 compliance.
• Conduct daily safety meetings.
• Complete accident reports and investigations.
• Daily safety audits and inspections.
• Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation.
