Job summary

Harris is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee Harris’ health, safety and motor vehicle programs on construction sites across the country. The role involves coordinating safety operations, conducting training, and leading safety audits to ensure a safe work environment.

You will develop and maintain site-specific safety plans, manage permits and incident reporting, and work with project teams to deliver a proactive safety culture. Strong communication and OSHA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction/industrial occupational health and safety experience.
• 4+ years of MS Office experience.
• Proficient understanding of OSHA standards and guidelines.
• Knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision and administration of safety/first aid and rescue squad activities.
• Be an active member of the project safety team and collaborate with other safety professionals to create an exceptional safety experience.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain Harris site-specific safety plan.
• Coordinate safety-badging and substance abuse screening; deliver safety orientations.
• Provide guidance for mechanical contracting safety and lead related training.
• Actively participate in site safety audits, permits, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Provide timely incident analyses and contribute to return-to-work planning.
