Job summary

HHICorporation is seeking a Construction Site Safety Health Officer to oversee safety programs on diverse projects up to $50 million, ensuring OSHA compliance and adherence to federal, state, and company policies. The role involves hazard identification, incident investigations, and on-site training to maintain a safe environment.

The SSHO will work closely with PMs, Superintendents, and the Owner's team, enforcing safety plans and coordinating with corporate safety to implement best practices

Qualifications

• OSHA30 certification or ability to obtain within 1 month.
• Minimum 5 years of safety experience.
• Knowledge of Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Scaffolding, and HEC.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online databases.
• Must pass government security clearance standards.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site walks and inspections to identify hazards and safety violations.
• Create and enforce safety plans outlining scope and mandated requirements.
• Be the safety representative on site for the Owner with PM and Superintendent.
• Relay on-site conditions to Corporate Safety Office.
• Lead on-site trainings and daily Activity Hazard Analysis meetings.
• Conduct mishap investigations and reporting procedures.
• Prepare and report plans or documentation required for the site.
• Research, interpret, and implement regulations and requirements.
• Identify hazards and implement innovative solutions without impacting operations.
• Travel to worksites as needed.

MAINDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES
