Job summary

EMI Services is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA. The SSHO will ensure compliance with government safety regulations, manage work-related injuries, and develop procedures to minimize risk. Strong multi-state safety knowledge and training delivery are required.

Starting at $70,000 DOE with employer-paid insurance, and opportunities to influence safety programs across multiple locations. Applicants must be U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ safety enforcement experience or 5+ years with similar size/scope.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review OSHA, USACE, AFOSH, and other safety standards to ensure compliance.
• Conduct audits and inspections, formal and informal.
• Provide safety training to all employees.
• Maintain OSHA records and incident reporting procedures.
• Develop and enforce safety and health programs and SOPs.
• Lead environmental compliance and HM handling.
• Investigate major safety and health concerns/issues.
• Promote reduction of HM toxicity and volume.
