Job Summary
This position works directly with technicians, installers, supervisors, project managers, branch leadership, customer representatives, and the Flatiron Safety team to identify hazards, improve job planning, reinforce safe work practices, and resolve safety concerns before they result in an incident. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently in an industrial environment, engaging directly with experienced tradespeople, communicating professionally with customers, and balancing coaching with accountability. When primary customer-site responsibilities permit, the Site Safety Coordinator may also provide safety support to other Flatiron branches and jobsites within the region.
Duties & Responsibilities
Skills & Qualifications
This is primarily an on-site field position, not an office-based safety role. The Site Safety Coordinator is expected to align their work schedule with Flatiron operations at the assigned customer facility. Depending on customer and project requirements, this may periodically include early starts, extended shifts, nights, or weekends. Regional travel may occasionally be required to support other Flatiron locations when the primary customer-site assignment permits.
