Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, is seeking a full-time Site Safety Coordinator in Chester, VA. The role supports site safety activities, conducts regular inspections, and collaborates with foremen to plan safe execution of tasks.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of commercial electrical experience, a HS Diploma/GED, OSHA-30 certification, and First Aid/CPR/Blood Bourne Pathogens certifications, with willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year commercial electrical experience in a related position.
• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• OSHA-30 Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Blood Bourne Pathogens Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures implementation of all IES and Client safety activities.
• Conducts frequent jobsite inspections, ensures corrective action taken to correct deficiencies.
• Works with foreman in planning how to perform non-routine job tasks safely.
• Participates in jobsite safety meetings and periodic attendance at foreman toolbox safety meetings.
• Conducts jobsite safety orientations.
• Assists in safety training as necessary.
• Conducts field training on all equipment for all employees.
• Assists in Hazards Recognition and corrections.
• Provides on-site first aid and CPR capabilities.
• Complies with all company and client safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.
