Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a General Laborer (Matting Solutions) in North Canton, OH to support labor tasks across our service capabilities. The role involves installing erosion controls, handling materials, and assisting with site work for right-of-way access projects.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and 1+ year of construction experience. Strong physical stamina and ability to travel OT are essential. United Rentals offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and write fluently in English and understand construction plans.
• Experience in construction and awareness of safety hazards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install erosion and sediment control devices.
• Drive wood stakes with sledgehammers.
• Apply grass seed, fertilizer, lime and straw blanket to ground areas.
• Clean track equipment and remove mud from roads and accesses.
• Install T-posts and safety fencing.
• Lay geo-textile fabric under aggregates.
• Load/unload construction material and tools.
• Spot heavy equipment during operation.
