The ideal candidate has SRE experience with Azure, strong automation skills, and a track record in observability, incident response, and resilience testing across complex enterprise

Site Reliablity Engineer (Azure)

Location: Jersey City, NJ / Plano TX / Charlotte NC (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months

Role Overview

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability and operational excellence for Azure platform services. This role involves partnering with teams across platform engineering, networking, security, and AI infrastructure to embed reliability into Azure-native solutions. The position will support the consistent onboarding and sustained operation of enterprise workloads in Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability and operational excellence for Azure platform services delivered through a product operating model.
• Partner with platform engineering, networking, security, and AI infrastructure teams to embed reliability into Azure-native solutions.
• Support observability, incident response, automation, resilience testing, and operational runbook development.
• Manage Azure landing zones, ingress and egress DMZs, service integration layers, and AI infrastructure.
• Ensure platform components meet defined reliability, availability, and scalability objectives.
• Support consistent onboarding and sustained operation of enterprise workloads in Azure.

Required Qualifications

• Experience operating and supporting Azure platform services with a focus on reliability, availability, and scalability.
• Hands-on experience with Site Reliability Engineering practices, including observability, incident response, automation, and resilience testing.
• Experience collaborating with platform engineering, networking, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Experience supporting enterprise Azure landing zones, ingress and egress DMZs, and shared platform components.
• Experience developing and maintaining operational runbooks.
• Experience operating secure Azure environments and supporting AI infrastructure workloads at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience supporting AI infrastructure in Azure, including platforms enabling Microsoft Foundry and private OpenAI access.
• Familiarity with designing and operating highly available service integration layers and network perimeters in enterprise environments.
• Experience integrating reliability objectives into platform product operating models.
• Skills in automation, platform observability design, and driving operational excellence across shared Azure services.
