Job summary

First Point Group seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Video Platform Engineering Team and help ensure the reliability and performance of our video delivery ecosystem.

You will support critical video services including live streaming, VOD, encoding, packaging, DRM, and CDN delivery while gaining hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Media Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Systems Administration and IT Operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the health of video services using modern observability tools.
• Support video platform operations including encoding, transcoding, packaging, origin infrastructure, DRM, and CDN delivery.
• Assist with troubleshooting incidents and collaborate with senior engineers to resolve service-impacting issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.
• Execute operational runbooks, deployments, and platform maintenance tasks.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to improve efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Work cross-functionally with network, storage, CDN, and application teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Linux administration and troubleshooting
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and load balancing
• Knowledge of streaming technologies such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, or RTMP is a plus
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP is beneficial but not required
