Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Application Software) to join the software engineering team. The role focuses on building and maintaining mission-critical platforms that accelerate vehicle software delivery, testing, and operations across Falcon 9, Starship, Dragon, and Starlink missions.

The candidate will design scalable tools, improve the development lifecycle, and ensure safe, high-quality software with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of professional SRE/DevOps experience.
• 1+ years of Python experience.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, operate, maintain, and scale mission-critical products and services.
• Manage infrastructure as code and use observability tools to monitor health.
• Collaborate with software engineers to design and build operable, maintainable systems.
• Involve in the full software lifecycle from design to deployment and refinement.
• Engage in blameless postmortems and incident response.
• Provide high-quality end-user support to vehicle software engineers.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
• Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks through measurement.
