Job summary

Illumio is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to drive our firewall management initiatives using Go and Python, with Golang a plus. The role focuses on cloud-based systems in AWS/Azure and networking security.

You will collaborate across products and engineering to integrate security frameworks into Illumio's evolving platform, delivering scalable APIs and resilient services from Sunnyvale.

Qualifications

• Strong Go (Golang) coding experience and backend development.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Cloud experience in AWS or Azure is ideal.
• Networking and security networking experience, and building/deploying APIs.

Responsibilities

• Integrate firewall management security frameworks into Illumio’s ecosystem using Go.
• Develop and maintain API endpoints in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Collaborate with Core product and CloudSecure teams to deliver scalable services.

Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python (Golang a plus))

Hybrid: 2 days in office/week in Sunnyvale, CA

In this role, you will focus on the Azure Firewall Management Program over the next year. You will work in conjunction with Illumio's Core product and our newest product, CloudSecure, to deliver on customer-facing products and initiatives.

As a Senior Software Engineer, every day you will determine how we integrate firewall management security frameworks into our existing ecosystem using Go / Golang. You will be working in cloud environments, like AWS, and you will focus on the networking aspects of our tech stack.

To thrive in this role, you will need Go / Golang coding experience, and cloud experience in Azure or AWS is ideal. You will need networking experience, especially security networking, and building and deploying APIs.
