Job summary

C-Serv is seeking a 24/7 FedRAMP Operations engineer for Reston, VA to own real-time monitoring on AWS Commercial/GovCloud and EKS. This role requires taking first-response actions and ensuring uptime on a FedRAMP‑authorised platform.

You will read Kibana queries at 3am, perform root-cause analysis in Elasticsearch, remediate CVEs, apply STIG hardening, and execute deployments through GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows. US citizenship and US soil residency are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in SRE, DevOps, systems administration, or cloud support.
• Solid Linux administration (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu) and bash/Python scripting.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS, AWS core services, and L4/L7 load balancing troubleshooting.
• Prometheus, Grafana, and ChatOps-via-Slack experience.
• US citizenship and US-soil residency, available for overnight/weekend rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

24/7 FedRAMP Operations Rotational Shift Hybrid

KEY REQUIREMENT

This role requires US citizenship and residence on US soil. It sits within a FedRAMP Moderate-authorised environment, so FedRAMP suitability and US-soil-only eligibility are non-negotiable, not preferred.

Eyes on glass. Hands on the pipeline. Real ownership from day one.

This isn't a watch-and-wait monitoring seat. Our client needs engineers who can read a Kibana query at 3am, know the difference between a blip and a breach, and act on it, on a FedRAMP-authorised cloud platform that genuinely can't afford downtime.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Real-time monitoring and first-response triage. Across AWS (Commercial/GovCloud) and EKS infrastructure.
• Log-level root cause investigation. In Kibana and Elasticsearch, you'll actually dig, not just elevate.
• CVE remediation and STIG hardening. On your patch, within FedRAMP SLA windows.
• Deployment execution and troubleshooting. Through GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
