Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer in New York, USA, to design, build, and operate highly reliable Azure-based systems. You will own SLOs/SLIs, implement GitOps with FluxCD/ArgoCD, and automate infrastructure with Terraform or Bicep.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines, drive incident response, and advance DevSecOps practices to ensure production readiness and observability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on Azure expertise including AKS, monitoring, networking, and security.
• Experience with GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).
• IaC experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
• Scripting/automation in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with incident management and operational best practices.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• No visa sponsorship needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response, RCAs, and reliability improvements.
• Establish observability via logs, metrics, tracing, and alerts.
• Embed DevSecOps practices (policy-as-code, vulnerability scanning, secrets management).
• Partner with development teams to improve deployment safety and production readiness.
