Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS cloud SDKs using Java (Spring Boot), Scala and Python.
• 3+ years with distributed data services (DynamoDB, Athena, MongoDB, GraphQL).
• 3+ years AWS Cloud: S3, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, RDS, EMR.
• 3+ years CI/CD using GitHub Actions and container orchestration with AWS ECS/Kubernetes.
• 3+ years Elastic APM; 3+ years Unix, Hadoop, HBase and Hive.
• Telecommuting eligible with adherence to UnitedHealth Group's policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 production support across multiple practices and holidays.
• Coordinate with teams, raise tickets, analyze root cause, and resolve issues.

You will be part of a world class identity matching solution building a state of the art applications that is at the center of identity management for Optum Technology. You will have a true opportunity to change the healthcare landscape for the better. Role requires to provide 24×7 operational support to all production practices on holidays and weekends. Coordinate with various teams and raise support ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production processes. Maintain logs of all issues and ensure resolutions according to quality assurance tests for all production processes. Need to have good understanding of business processes within various systems used within the application. You will need to be ambitious and willing to work out of your comfort zone.

Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

Primary Responsibilites

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of experience Cloud SDK's with AWS using Java (spring boot microservices), Scala, and Python
• 3+ years of experience with Distributed Data services (DynamoDB/Athena/Mongo/Apollo GraphQL platform)
• 3+ years of experience AWS Cloud: S3, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, RDS, EMR
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions & container orchestration using AWS ECS/Kubernetes clusters
• 3+ years of experience in Elastic APM
• 3+ years of experience in Unix, Hadoop ,Hbase and Hive

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
