Job Details

The Site Reliability Engineer role is for motivated coders, hackers, and engineers who want to solve problems at the root cause, in an elegant and sustainable way. You will be an essential part of our TechOps team, which builds and supports the foundational tools used by our product teams to develop reliable, scalable products. We value automation, building scalable systems, embracing new technologies, and sharing knowledge with teammates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience
• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, or Ansible
• Scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Bash
• Experience with modern git repo technologies (GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with virtualization and cloud tech (VMWare, AWS)
• Understanding of Linux, networking, and internet principles
• Strong understanding of internet technologies (DNS, SNMP, HTTP, TCP/IP, CDNs)
• Strong understanding of serverless technologies (AWS Lambdas)
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

Bonus Points for

• Experience with Containers and Orchestration (Docker, K8s, Rancher, EKS, ECS)
• Experience with Monitoring Technologies (Logicmonitor, Instana, NewRelic, Rapid7, CloudPassage, etc.)
• Experience managing tickets and priorities (Jira, etc.)
• Experience with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JQuery)
• Experience developing/supporting C#, Java, or PHP applications
• Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL)
• Experience with NoSQL and caching systems (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB, ElastiCache)
• Understanding of event-driven systems (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, Redshift)
