Job summary

EngFlow is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our expanding platform team. You will be a critical member of the platform engineering hub, working with teammates worldwide while potentially helping grow a local AU/remote team.

The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and contributing to operational excellence across global incidents. Responsibilities include incident ownership, collaborating with core product teams, and mentoring others to foster a healthy engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Incident Ownership: Act as the primary responder for high-priority production incidents.
• Product Evolution: Work with the core product team to identify recurring support patterns and develop fixes and feature enhancements.
• Collaboration: Participate in daily handovers with EMEA and US teams to ensure seamless continuity of operations.
• Mentorship: Help foster a collaborative culture, sharing knowledge and performing code reviews.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our expanding platform team. You won't just be "keeping the lights on" - you would be a critical member of our platform engineering hub. You will work closely with our existing team members geographically based all around the world while also trying to figure out how to grow a local team.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident Ownership: Act as the primary responder for high-priority production incidents during the Australian business day.

• Product Evolution: Work with the core product team to identify recurring support patterns and develop fixes and feature enhancements

• Collaboration: Participate in daily handovers with EMEA and US teams to ensure seamless continuity of operations.

• Mentorship: Help foster a collaborative culture, sharing knowledge and performing code reviews.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or high-level Product Support roles.

• Technical Stack: Proficiency in AWS/GCP, Bazel, gRPC, Java/Golang/Python

• Mindset: A "team-first" attitude. You understand that local success depends on the collective health and communication of the AU pod.

• Communication: Exceptional ability to document complex issues for a global, asynchronous audience.
