Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

The site quality manager role leads all site-level Quality activities, overseeing customer/supplier approvals, performance improvement, audits, compliance, and root-cause problem solving within an aerospace manufacturing environment. You'll also serve as the primary customer and regulatory liaison, including FAA DMIR/DSQR responsibilities and ownership of audit readiness and QMS performance.

The organization is a global leader in aerospace components and sensing technologies, supporting critical systems across commercial and defense aviation. Their facility plays a key role in delivering highly regulated, precision-engineered products that meet demanding customer and FAA requirements.

Job Duties
  • Lead the deployment of modern Quality tools and practices across the site.
  • Manage supplier quality: approvals, audits, work transfers, risk assessments, and RCCA.
  • Support NPI teams and ensure seamless transition of new purchased products into production.
  • Obtain/maintain FAA DMIR + customer DSQR authorizations for source inspections and conformity.
  • Drive timely resolution of quality issues impacting production or delivery.
  • Oversee customer investigations and corrective actions for failures or complaints.
  • Conduct on-site reviews, assessments, problem solving, and training.
  • Maintain the QMS; ensure audit readiness and compliance with AS9100, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead 6S initiatives and continuous improvement across the site.
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Prior FAA DMIR certification (or ability to obtain/maintain).
  • 3-5+ years as a Quality Manager or 5-10 years as a Quality Engineer/Specialist in manufacturing (aerospace preferred).
  • AS9100 Internal Auditor training; strong background in audits and compliance.
  • Six Sigma/Lean experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills; able to work under pressure and self-direct.
  • Proficient with MS Office; Lotus Notes experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
