Through coordination with the Project Manager/Site Manager, direct activities and coordinate the day-to-day quality control system and procedures for the company, from project start-up to completion.

Essential Functions
  • Manage daily activities of the quality control program.
  • Attend project pre-construction meetings to discuss the QMS Program and review Lessons Learned with subcontractors and manufacturers.
  • Train team members in the use of the quality control program and support question resolution.
  • Set up and maintain project data within the quality program database; support and audit the effectiveness of the quality program.
  • Monitor and report on the overall quality of the organization regularly and timely.
  • Collect and utilize data from the quality control program for marketing, training, and improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct jobsite inspections/audits to ensure quality controls are in place and report findings.
  • Perform quality control inspections during installation to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Work with the Service Team Manager to incorporate checklist items into the QMS System based on warranty callbacks.
  • Inspect products, materials, and equipment upon arrival for compliance.
  • Ensure manufacturer, fabricator, and installer qualifications are current and meet contract requirements.
  • Coordinate sampling and testing of work to prevent delays.
  • Maintain jobsite test and inspection logs and update documentation as needed.
  • Create and maintain a Project Specific Quality Control Plan.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

The role involves standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision. The environment is typically a moderate-noise office setting, with possible overtime.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will indirectly manage subcontractors and oversee overall quality on projects.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent plus five years of construction experience, or seven years of related construction experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in the light/heavy industrial sector is highly desired.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100%, with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the USA.

This role requires travel to project sites across the U.S. and possibly outside, following Gray’s travel policy.
